You’ve had a fun day with the cutesy internet activism, but have you really pitched in?

If you’re a fellow resident of South Louisiana, you have some real work to do before  you can pat yourself on the back. That’s because Senators Landrieu and Vitter, as well as Congressman Scalise are all in favor of the bills. 

You don’t have to do it today, but set aside some time before the end of this week and give them a call. Make sure you know what you’re talking about, be courteous, and use your actual voice to speak with their offices about this misguided legislation.

The effectiveness of online petitions is dubious at best, so that’s why I’m urging you to make a few phone calls, because they require real people to use their very real and valuable time to pay attention to you.
